Below are pricures from 9 weeks ago and from last week. No flexing, no pump (just wake up then take photos), no posing, no special lighting:), no supplements except protein powder (id been taking that all along) week 1 is after my westside program where diet was all u can eat... weight 202 lbs week 9 is after more careful eating, 3-4x a week interval cardio, and heavy lifting. Im not a naturally lean guy so it takes a long time to lose fats alone... i was VERY careful not to lose much if any muscle. thats why the arms are almost the same size. Waist 34.9 to 32.8inch Arms 15.7 to 15.6inch weight 202 to 191 lbs max squat drop from 485 to 450+ deadlift same about 455 max bench drop from 325 to maybe 315... never test... but noticed a bit of drop. Note to those who are cutting: expect to lose a bit in the squat and bench cos those are dependent on torso (tummy) size. Bigger is better since is helps u come our of the bottom of the squat. bench drop a bit cos of loss of tricep mass. week 1 photo: img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/jw_2101/front1.jpgweek 9 photo: img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/jw_2101/front9b.jpgme doing kettlebell swings with 70lb kettlebell:) my new toy for cardio yes im airborne in the pic... but its heavy so i cant get very high hahah... 100 reps a day pant pant pant! img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/jw_2101/kettlebell70lb.jpg

bodyweight of 202lb to do deadlift of 455lb. bodyweight:weight lifted ratio 1:2.25. cool! hehe even better now since i can still pull the same at 191. Deadlifts dont realyl suffer as much with weight loss as squats do. In fact many of the best pullers are the longer limb guys not the stouter one. regds jonathan Just a note to the bodybuilders out there... im not going for competion. My cutting is atheletic related. After getting stronger, i want to play rugby and basketball more so i need to be lighter to maintain fitness. Im not a rugby prop and too short to play high level bball at a inside position (althouhgh shoveing ppl is fun). Cant play cardio sports well with the tummy like pic 1... hahah.

you mean you could squat 5 plates, deadlift 5 plates and bench 3 plates? pardon me, but from you mass, thickness and physique, i really doubt that you would be able to perform that, especially the 5 plates squat and deadlift. i would be impressed and amazed if you could show us a clip of your 5 plates full squat. tks. no offence.

Well first of all, strength is NOT determined totally by size. Its determined by neurological effiecency fo the nervous system. well not Quite 5 plates... haha thats 495:) about 4 and a half + a bit. Sure i have a pic of my squat... click link below. Its about 95% of max...came up quite easy. As Strength athletes would know... theres a HUGE differnece between 95 and 100% 100% i will struggle for aobut 3 sec in the middle position. Im not offeneded. In singpaore you dont see many strong ppl. Bodybuilding style straing does not produce great strength per pound of weight. And it does not have a great emphasis on torso strength (SWISS BALL NOSNSESE DOES NOT COUNT!!). As you can see I have quite a thick torso. As well as (cant see from pics) a large butt and hamstrings. Those are the lifting muscles. img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/jw_2101/4509msn.jpgtheres the link. BTW a more gifted lifter can lift far more than I esp in the bench press. Its my weakest exercise cos i have quite long arms compared to torso. Also like i said the squat pic is aobut my max at the moment (im guessing) becuase im dieting now. If there were a powerlifing competition, i would stuff myself full of carbs and load with lots of liquid to puff out the tummy and lubricate the joints... not pretty but stronger for sure hahah. regds Jonathan
