It's a diet which consists of a cycle of undereating (day) and overeating (night). It's supposed to take advantage of the body's natural sympathetic and parasympathetic function. Read Ori Hofmekler's Warrior Diet for more info. www.dragondoor.com

Yeah why? I am fine doing the warrior diet. I don't have to stop and eat during the day and therefore do not have sluggishness. I can train the whole day without interruption. And i did NOT lose any mass or strength, ie this diet did not interfere with my strength training efforts.

What's the gist of it? Eat sparingly during the day and stuff one big meal at night, is that basically it? I'm thinking of using it for good because I always feel sluggish after a big lunch.

You hit the nail on the head. I hate to workout with so much stuff weighing me down in my guts. How good it feels to exercise with empty stomach.

I read about the Warrior Diet last year and didn't quite believe it, but recently I have been trying out a few things successfully. Here are my observations so far:
1) Breakfast is not important at all. I hate eating in the morning. I just down a cup of soya, maybe a banana or two, and still have lots of energy to do whatever I want. Been doing this for five years, Warrior Diet confirms it.
2) Used to think I have to "eat more during the day to have more energy". Stuffing myself during lunch always makes me sluggish the whole afternoon, but generally ignored it. So far been eating less and less for lunch. Even skipped once. Hey, wasn't bad at all, the hunger was the low-grade sort that Ori said would give you strength. Weird.
3) Used to think I have to "eat less at night so as not to grow fat". Ha ha, now I know this is rubbish. I also hate being hungry at night, much worse than being hungry in the day, time to stuff!
4) Three meals a day is plain stupid. Been taking two meals a day for five years. Maybe time to change to one big meal a day.
5) Eating before exercising never worked for me. Always a joy to eat after exercising! Confirmed by Warrior Diet.
Hmm, think I will combine the best of Eat Right For Your Type and Warrior Diet and see how it goes. Strange, eating sparingly in the day hasn't drained me of anything, still feel fine. Of course, it's always a joy to stuff yourself, dinner is always good, ha ha!

After reading all the above... and looking back... i actually did not take breakfast or maybe i shld say seldom take breakfast since my secondary school days... and I hv always felt fine... it has been like more than 10 yrs now... my secondary school days... The only difference is i do take lunch n dinner... n am doing the norm... as in a good lunch (not too heavy) and a light dinner... n its beginning to get boring... Now that all of U hv shed some light on this warrior diet n results hv shown that it does not affect strength training or losing mass or putting on weight (fat) then I guess it shld be safe to try... n i do agree to what jonathan say... having lunch may not b tht good an idea as if u hv one that is a little too heavy... u feel sluggish... especially abt an hr or so after u eat... n that's when u need most of ur energy n concentration at work... and u won't b able to perform at work as well if ur body is at that moment concentrating on digesting what u just ate at noon for lunch... Think i will start trying this warrior diet as of today n see how well it works for me... N er... jonathan... care to share with me that 'Eat Right For Your Type' u mentioned? What is this all about?

Eat Right For Your Type is a book on nutrition by Dr Peter J D'Adamo. His theory is people should eat according to their blood type, not just to have energy and maintain weight, but to improve their health and avoid fatal diseases in the long run. To sum it up very briefly, O should eat mainly meat and avoid gluten (e.g. wheat), A should be vegeterian and avoid meat, B should eat mainly dairy products and avoid chicken. AB can eat whatever A and B can and can't. Of course, this may not work for everyone. Like all things, you'll have to make changes and find out if they work for you or not.
Warrior Diet describes what to eat and what not to eat as well, but hey, I'm not going to fix what has been working for me for the past five years.
I'm O, so I eat mainly meat. Before I started, I blindly followed the stupid food pyramid and ate mainly carbs. Always felt weak and gained weight for no reason. After changing, always felt energetic and never gained weight for no reason again.
By the way, I'm not sure if the Warrior Diet is suitable for bodybuilders.

I happened to tried warrior's diet before, although i didn't know it was called something like that. I tried it only because of my abs training and also because i was saving money for other things and not on healthy lunch nor breakfast. My friend told me about this method being called warrior's diet and this made me think that i was a lone warrior, walking around the country with no food in my stomach until the night. LOL What an funny experience, for me i guess and Herman you happened to told my friend Vimal that and he explain it to me in a funny way, using you as an example as you did have an apetite to eat gradually throughout the evening at my place. I'm not sure if u did remember that time but I'm not sure if Vimal told you that or not .

This diet has very weak science. I can hardly find any good scientific backing on it. I was doing some research on it about 5 years ago and decide that it does not make sense. More like those, you can determine a person character by the blood type kind of thing.
