1 yr ago, i start having aching back frequently. I could "click" my back any way, by just simply twisting a little. I think my back is really "spoilt" already. Today, when i bent down to lift the barbell to do a back exercise, i felt a sharp pain on the right bottom side of my back.
What's wrong w me? Can anybody help?

bending over to pick up something anything and especially heavy stuffs like a barbell or a dumbell is a NO NO~! Com'on... if you have had this back problem for so long... haven't it occur to you that you require medical attention from a qualified doctor or physician??? I suggest you better go get some professional help on that back... and stop your training for now... until you know the condition of your back...

Yeah, I agree. Especially if you already had some bad back experience. Similiar thing happened to me before I started training, I already had a slipped disc. So knowing that, I have to avoid deadlifts and squats.
The best is to see a specialist or sports clinic, sometimes no choice, have to pay a bit more to get to the root of the problem.

did u injure your back during NS time? better check this out with your doctor or chiropractor. no point forcing yourself on this and worsen the injuries. my brother had suffered a lower back injury from overdoing on a squat with bad form back in the early 90s. it was only until last few years which he ditch bodybuilding completely and take up swimming did it help in his rehab on his lower back pain. Imagine day and night, kana plagued with lower back pains. for squat and deadlift, u can refer to the www.diselcrew.com for the techniques. they advocate squatting up the weights instead of doing it via the lower back.

As long as you keep ur back at its natural arch shape, there should not be a problem However this is almost impossible at heavy loads, try to stop 2-3 reps before failure and do higher reps. ;D Ur back is very precious, break it and ur gonna be paralized waist down or even die
