just went to a chinese physician today to get my back fixed. had injured it months ago doing deadlifts, very similar to what happened to Jonathan.
this guy sat me down, looked at my back and knew exactly what was wrong with my back. after the session, the pain was almost 90% gone and i recovered my full range of motion with my back! no needles at all!
the treatment came with a brief on muscles structure, full explanation of the problem and advice on preventive measures.
i truly recommend this guy as an alternative to X-rays and cortisone injections. now i can go back to my deadlifts revitalized! his shop is "S.K. Lim" at Ginza Plaza, #01-129.

Great. you must have felt like a million buck when the pain is gone. i will definitely make a trip to Ginza and get his consultation. had a nagging pain on the shoulder and the knee probs.

yeah man, i was like "eh? not pain liao??" he explained that my problem is because i don't stretch and do warming-down after workouts, causing the muscles to "bunch up" so now i have to do stretching morning and nights...
$30 inclusive of meds
the meds are TCM i think...no labels and i forgot to ask.

Hmm, about the price I paid for consultation and X-Ray at the polyclinic (hee hee, was free in the end, claimed from my dad's company). Next time, if I somehow hurt myself again, I'll pay a visit to him instead!

There's one guy at Chung Hwa Free Clinic at Toa Payoh also who is good in this type of stuff, particularly manipulative therapy. I have brought several friends to him to get treated.
His name is Ng Bee Huat (Huang Mei Fa). He is there at the clinic on Mon and Thurs night. Fee is $4. First timers add $2 to request for him.
He also has a private clinic somewhere but i haven't gone to check it out.

Everlast, there is more than acupuncture. This doc i just mentioned also does manipulation, cupping, deep friction massage and a host of other things.
It is against Chung Hwa's rules to reveal his private clinic stuff there. So if you want to know more, maybe u can meet up with him at Chung Hwa before or after the clinic operating hours.
