im hitting it with 2g of glucosamine sulphate everyday but i think the effect arent visible as my reps are below 5. Now i have to hit it above 8 reps and the joint pains seems to subside quite well. A definite glucosamine sulphate and flaxseed oil for me. some painkiller like dicofenac would help too.

it work nothing against ligament, however it build up your cartilage. Ligament tear need time to heal but would not heal if your liagament is torn(just like me). However, it will fill up your cartilage to compensate the ligament torn and also build up your quads by squatting minimally.

Ultrasound works well for ligament problems too. I had a strained left elbow mcl some time back. Still gave me problems at the top position of the pullup for some 1/2 year. After 2 ultrasound treatment, i was doing the pullups again. After the 3rd treatment i was back in shape. Now doing muscle ups on rings without any pain.
