BAck squat is definitely the King, but after that I find doing sissy squat better than doing leg extension. Any comment on sissy squats? Do you also include this in your routine or think that it is ajunk or is wondering "what the hell is this"? ;D

Eh seriously, what is a sissy squat? I do this movement holding my hands to the uprights of a power rack. Place your feet 8-10 inches apart with toes pointing forward. Incline your torso backward, slowly bent your knees and thrust them as forward as possible. You wil naturally go up on your toes to fully bent your legs at the most bottom position. Reverse the movement and return to start point. Rep 1! ;D

Yeah, I find it funny that I need to find out about the local scene from an overseas mag. Insider info. They are trying to increase their circulation in Singapore so that they can get advertisement from Singapore. So local competition coverage may help them. ;D

Eh seriously, what is a sissy squat? It's like a normal squat but just without the weights In the execution of the sissy squat, you torso bent backwards, that's why you need to hold the uprights to balance yourself. Tom platz the quads king love to do something like sissy squat on the hack squat machine. ;D

I did them for over 1 yr holding a heavy dumbell on one hand and I had to stop all squating exercises for a couple of weeks cos of painful knees. Now I totally avoid exercises like the sissy squat and the hack squat cos they kill your knees.

For some people gckh may be right. After all we heard so many BB with knee problems. But some including Platz seems to be able to do it. Apparently is a tored bicep that put Platz out of action in the Pro circle. He is very popular and know how to make money of of BB.
So common sense will dictate, if feel uncomfortable or pain cease the movement. ;D
