Its not magic its called a FOOD LOG!!!
There are SO MANY posts about "getting big" or "getting ripped". Without a FOOD LOG you are going by instinct and blind luck. Yes it takes effort, yes it takes some time but its worth it. only when you know how much you are eating then can you implement changes.
E.g wanting to bulk but not gaining much...
"oh im an ectomorph","oh im a hardgainer", "oh my parents were skinny too", "oh i eat ALL DAY", "oh im sure i eat enough" NONSENSE!! you are not eating enough and a food log will prove it. remenber you need 500cals or more over mantainence to gain and about 500 cals less than to lose fats withouht much muscle.
Who here has ever kept one? hands up please... not too many hands huh... If you have kept one for more than a month, you are excused i think that its possible that after a month you can better guestimate your nuttirion. but if you have never before, get started or dont whine on this or any forum about your genetics. I have a simple food log template in excel format. email me if you want it at "captn_j@hotmail.com". better still MAke one yourself... its not that hard...
Try a food log today its worth it! Tough love thats what it is!

yep man...i totally agree in keeping food log.... but i always keep my food log in my head....cos my food choices are almost the same for everyday....i dun keep a log for my junk days haaaa
