Atkins or CKD? Haha, quite close but I find that the carb limititations are kinda restrictive. I'm a firm believer in post workout nutrition (High GI carbs and fast proteins) for recovery. The faster you recover, the more you can exercise, more calories burned. And I don't really have to bother about entering ketosis. My diet is basically high protein, moderate fat and low carb. Min of 50g carbs or up to 100g. The carbs are timed during post workout (50g dextrose with whey). On days I'm feeling light headed due to low carbs, I will up it to max of 100g. This will come from oats and taken during breakfast. Rest of the meals are protein (chicken, eggs, whey, beef) and healthy fats (flax, fish, olive oil) and lotsa veggies to fill me up. Training wise I stick to the compund movements. bench, squats, deadlift, heavy rows, military presses and at times I do cleans, jerks, snatches at moderate weight with little rest times for conditioning. This to me is a better form of cardio as compared to running. But I do incorporate slow paced cardio 3-4 times per week for 30mins. More than 30mins and I will get shin splints. Ouch.
