I have just discovered some research papers on DHA in stimulating the production of Phosphatidyl-Serine (PS). No wonder DHA boost the brain. A few years ago, Phosphatidyl-Serine nearly become hot in the bodybuilding world because there is a study (I am not sure about the details) that basically show that it reduces cortisol level (cortisol is a catabolic hormone (released due to stress) that cause muscles to breakdown and accumulation of fat around the trunk). I am not all excited about DHA may be a anti-catabolic supplement but I am very excited to see the link between DHA and PS. Both stuff have so much powerful research because behind them are the rich and powerful pharmaceutical companies that have developed patented process to produce them. Only promising stuff that have good scientific evidence and serious applications will prompt these industry giants to put in their money into developing such products. Let me go thru the papers and do an update.

I mean this is something relatively new, not even USA bodybuilding or health food media have discussed about. Yeah, it's ground breaking in this regard: the link between DHA stimulating the synthesis of Phosphatidyl-Serine (PS). I was the first in Singapore supplement industry to report about 1.5g of DHA in double blind research that help people to cope with stress better. But I also ask myself why??? What is the mechanism??? Now everything seems clear with DHA stimulating PS, and PS apparently improve the efficiency in communication between nerve cells (that include brain cells). This is just the beginning, I am going to find out more. ;D I am also going to inform my USA contacts about this finding. DHA has the potential to start an all-new-revolution in bodybuilding neuro-boosting products, that will continue from the limits of St John's Worts, Neuro***. ;D
