I once learned from my professor that people who stay in colder climate tend to be bigger than those who stay near the equator with everything equal. He did not give me an explanation for that. But judging at how easily we the weight trainers sweat in Singapore when there is no air con, I think it is partially linked to body need extra effort to cool down the body, so it thinks better don't get too big.

It's just adaption to their climate, i bet they're much more hairier too, though human hair are virtually useless against cold. They require more fat for insualting the cold and more muscles to raise metabolic rate

Then how do u explain the eskimos? They are of asian sizes and i believe they have some asian genes too.

I guess again is a relative kind of things. If any of the brother here will to live in a colder place. With everything thing equal, the same bro will be bigger.

Anyone watched "When Dinosaurs Walked the Earth" on Discovery Channel? There was an episode concerning discoveries of large and miniature dinosaurs of exactly the same species in different parts of the world. The prevailing theory is that size of habitat is a major factor. When land area of the same habitat increases or decreases in time, the creatures will eventually also increase or decrease accordingly in response. In a way it makes sense. Smaller creatures consume less of everything and if everyone is to survive they can't be too big. But it probably doesn't apply to humans living in the First World. If anything, they are growing bigger and bigger and getting too fat!
