I try out one of those with a mesh (a very common design), but it leak a little between the screw-in cover and the cup.
I still prefer sthingy mixing. ;D

Yup . I using dymatize shake , the screw-in cover will leak occassionally , but if you carefully place the strainer at it's respective position and turn the screw in cover tightly , leakage problem can be solve .

most respectable shakers have the mesh inside.
dymatize, tsw, nfft all have similar shakers (screw-on type)... didnt like it cuz have to screw on tightly to avoid leakage. it also helps to check that the white rubber seal under the shaker top is seated properly.
personally, i prefer the old shakers from GNC with the fit-on top. no problem with leakages at all.

I thought the OSIM ones looks steadier. The cap at the mouth opening for GNC btl tends to tear off after some time. For NFFT, Dymatize, TSW shakers, make sure the white rubber beneath the cap sits snugly. Press in any loose rubber. They may come loose once a while when you shake off the water too hard while washing the caps. Turn the cap tightly along the groove of the btl opening and they should not leak

I hate the pink shaker given by TSW and the cheapo one from Ultimate Nutrition really sucks in terms of functionality and design.

I hate the pink shaker given by TSW and the cheapo one from Ultimate Nutrition really sucks in terms of functionality and design. Actually, the one from Ultimate Nutrition have the shape of a standard thingytail shaker, from the feedback I get the only flaw is on the top cap, must press hard when shaking. I have one shaker those with mesh and a mouth cap, but also leak when I shake. So the best is use sthingy to stirr I think;D

Whole thing reminds me of a c.o.c.ktail shaker.

I will not be offended, no worries. ;D I have a friend who like to go clubbing also commented that the shaker look exactly like a thingytail shaker except it is plastic and the real one is metal. I think the design is fine except for the cap. They need to improve till the cap can be screwed tightly. Other than that I think the rocket head design will still give the biggest force to grate the powders into smaller particles. About the cover, I think it is tighter than those screw on cover.
