go for 8 - 10 reps ensure that you fail at every set..and increase your protein intake Yeah 8-10 reps to failure (how many sets to you reckon?), that's is what I usually do in the past, work reasonably well, but very taxing on my CNS. I was told that going to failure every set is no good. Instead, go to near failure and do more sets may be better. Can we have more views here? ;D What about doing 1 exercise of 10 sets versus 3 exercises of 3 sets each?

hoho, i see, you're only good at nutrition ;D Sure there are certain scientific things at training I may not know. But if it is just the standard training stuff, I should have tried and read before. I have more than 20 BB books in my own library and some are pretty good. Nutrition books I have over 100. If I thought I have learned everything, that's when I will stop learning. I have lots of questions about training after I interact with captj, too busy to clear the doubts at the moment, but will ask him when I am more free. ;D

hoho, i see, you're only good at nutrition ;D Thanks for the article you recommend at T-mag. Very solid. ;D But 10 sets of 3 reps? Most trainers believe 6-8 reps is best for muscle gain, below 6 reps is best for strength gain, over 12 reps is not so good for hypertrophy. Any comments from bros here? ;D

i started 4 x 10 and noticed gains, but it's time consuming, so i usally do it for my heavy stuff I used to train very intensive and short 2-3 sets per exercise, 3 movements per part. But today I do ten sets of ten excluding warm up, with each set near but not to failure I seems to enjoy the workout. So much that I train twice today (once in a while), to make up for the 3 weeks lay off.
