Are there any in your gym that dun train legs? Those that have big upper body and small legs. What do you think of them? ;D

Have seen my fair share, in and out of the gym.
On one hand, I'm comtemptous of their ignorance.
On the other hand, they fulfill the aesthetic/romantic/hollywood notion of strength, i.e. broad shoulders, muscular arms, narrow waist, no legs or ass to speak off. Coupled with height, you've got to admit they do create a very strong impression of strength to the uninformed, something which abs, legs and glutes can't exactly do. Perception and reality are often opposites, but in this case, who cares?

I think...they'd lose to me in a car-pulling contest.

Seen before, upperbody quite well-built i would say seeing him do high reps of 15kg barbell curls and 100 pound cable push downs but his legs are like African long-distance endurance runners size(No offence tho)

I would think they are very unbalanced with a high centre of gravity. Basically, not very functional like what Universe9 has pointed, pulling heavy things require lots of legs and hip strength. Would it be fair to say bodybuilders who dun squat may not be qualified as real bodybuilders.
The difference between Natural and drug-reliance bodybuilders are natural bodybuilders used big, heavy exercise to create the ideal hormone secretion for growth. To do that heavy exercise that involved the big muscle group like the glutes, quads and lower back are inevitable. I can imagine those natural bodybuilders who dun train legs and got big must have rely on heavy back and chest exercise to create the anabolic hormones secretion but the effect will be a "discounted" one.

Perception and reality are often opposites, but in this case, who cares? Yeah, they try to fit into a pair of tight jeans. If they squat and develop big legs they have to wear baggy jeans. Bodybuilders who squat hard usually cannot fit into tight jeans. Even regular business pants will not fit their thighs. They got to go for tailor made pants.

I saw this one guy while touring a gym. At first thought, I was like, "wow, that dude is pretty massive", but once he stepped into full view, I got a bit of a schock.
The fella's arms must have been around 18 or 19 inches ish, and he was doing dumbell curls with something looking in the mid 20kg range. However, in all seriousness his calves were about the size of his forearms and I've seen bigger thighs on some lady runners.
But personally speaking, I guess having legs like Tom Platz would be pretty shocking as well.

Ermm... please don't use the term bodybuilders to refer to them please....
Bird legs are for bird brains... excuse my language.. the thing is simple. If you dun train legs.. you don't train at all... cut the crap ... Bodybuilding is about developing your body as a whole... without that they are just all about beachmuscle.. and if that's that... then they ain't BBers....
lol.. I have seen so many of them in the gym.. just give them a push and we will prob fall over.. hahahahha

Squats seperate man from boys. Haha, I know some boys squat too... good boys. What about guys who train legs but do not squat for the fear that squat will "widen" their hips or make their glutes big. I know Vince Gironda think this way. He is a great guru, but my view is avoiding back squat is a mistake. I defienitely do not like my centre of gravity too high. ;D

reminds me of the dream of Nebechanezzar about his statue, gold on the top, bronze on the mid, and mud on the bottom. then again, there will be odd balls that have heavy bottom and light upper.
