Just did speed pulls with 105kg just now. Woot. No jerking necessary, and I managed to pull off 6 reps on each set. This rocks.

Just did speed pulls with 105kg just now. Woot. No jerking necessary, and I managed to pull off 6 reps on each set. This rocks. I dont mean to be discouraging and certainly thats an "A" for effort. But thats not what i mean for speed pulls. If you can do 6 reps FAST its too light. Speed pullsare done for AT most 3 reps and as few as 1. the idea is to be fAST. If on your 6th rep you are as fast as on your 1st rep... weight is too light. Do multiple sets with less rest instead. eg. 8 sets x 2 reps insetad of 4 sets x 5. to ensure that EACH pull is FAST. this teaches the nervous system to fire FAST. regds and keep up the good work, Jonathan

Ack. Got it. I'm currently doing 2 sets of 6, so I should exchange it with something like 4 sets of 3, right?
