Cut your boneless chicken breast into strips the size of 2 fingers held together.
Cover it in Masterfood's Steak Seasoning ( Hot & Spicy version). I mean, really slather and completely cover it with the steak seasoning.
Microwave the strips till done. ( for 5 strips from the fridge, it takes 3 mins on high, turn strips over, 1 mins on low. leave for 5 mins - tender and juicy - overcooking makes it YUCKY)
It tastes like KFC's spicy chicken. even my non-weights-lifting reprobate friends LOVE this chicken of mine.

Ive known vixen for a couple years now. And she is one to listen to when cooking. She cooks for herself i would guess 80+% of the time... no maid, no help... I've eaten some of her earlier dishes... and gave positive comments ( a few )haha but she is LEAPS and BOUNDS better now! quite a bodybuilding gourmet chef now, if you got recepie questions, shes the one to answer.

thanks for the kind words, lol
hahahaah captnj is too polite.
i recall that i once served him half cooked chicken and hard brown rice ...you should have seen his manfully polite face as he ate and tried to subtly find out how long his meal had been cooked..... perhaps i should start a "jokers in the kitchen" thread.
pullupaddict...funny i buy them from NTUC all the time le....

its NOT SAUCE.
its POWDER, like pepper, in a little pot.
really, NTUC sells it. It's not usually with the pepper and cinnamon , ketchup etc, but sort of has a little sub shelf of its own at the end of an aisle.
Go looks at the link to the producer's website i posted, to have an idea of the packaging.

Hi IronVixen,
<sigh> I saw this recipe & did not take note of the seasoning brand. I went NTUC & bought Easy Crispy Chicken Coating instead. Is that ok?
And you mean slather it on raw chicken, right?
Do I have to wrap in foil before microwaving?
Would it be better to use the toaster instead? Toaster can make it crispy, but I doubt microwave can do that.
Help this lazy & inexperienced cook!

hello ;D
orion, regarding the easy crispy chicken coating , I've never used it before...yes Im quite sure its meant to be slathered on raw... but there should be instructions on the package. what does it say?
abut crispiness.... usually crispy chicken is fried or baked, depending on seasoning/batter used. yes microwave definately will not give you crispy chicken. it can give you hard coating tho. ;D Ive never tried this before but perhaps you could microwave it then toast it...let me noe how it turns out if you try....
as for using a TOASTER to COOk chicken, I am clueless...I would recommend to check the internet or maker's manuel etc, whether the temperature will be high enough and all that etc.
it is generally not recommended to put foil in a microwave..in fact if you scrunch up foil into a ball and microwave it you'll see arcs and sparks in there.
check out the national libraries and the internet for guides on microwave cooking etc, very useful source of information.
cheers and happy cooking!

The Easy Spicy Coating is so hot I wept. I don’t like it because I couldn’t really taste my food. Plus, my meal felt like a torture session, what with me sweating & tearing up at the same time (yes, I ate it anyway, oh the woes of being on student budget!). I toasted my chicken straight from the fridge (not freezer), & the coating did become crunchier. It looks better as well, more like KFC, as though it was deep fried (shiny appearance). I don’t know about other people, but I like my food to look good... Oh, I don’t recommend cooking in the toaster. It takes a darn longer time, & by the time it's cooked the outer layer is charred, unless foil is used, which in turn takes an even darn longer time. So it'd be wise to first cook in microwave (foil-less) then toast it (foil-less). That’s it, I’m going off later to buy Masterfood’s seasoning.

forgive me...*ah hem* HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHHA
don't sweat it, the road to culinary victory is paved by many experiences such as this!! ;D
Hmm maybe Ill buy that seasoning you mentioned. i like spicy food.
what school are you in, orion?
as for microwave oven, although you can't use foil, you can use clingwrap, there is microwave version for clingwrap that you can use.

Hmm, I can only find Masterfood’s black pepper & mayonnaise. I think some NTUCs don’t have lar. So I bought the McCormick brand, non-spice… Actually I like spicey foods too & my nickname used to be Chili Queen. But I have been eating more ketchup than chili lately so maybe my taste buds are no longer used to it…. I heard that too much spice kills taste buds, dulls their sensitivity. As for which school I’m from, I pm-ed you that cuz not comfortable letting everyone know….

U can find a wide range of Masterfood seasonings at Jason supermarket in Paragon or Raffles City. That's where I got my 'roast chicken' seasoning from. Suggest using the grill function in microwave if urs have one. Bon Appetit! ;D
